Web Site Terms and Conditions of Use

1. Terms

By accessing this web site, you are agreeing to be bound by these web site Terms and Conditions of Use, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this web site are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

2. Use License

  1. Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on UkrainianPod's web site for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:
    1. modify or copy the materials;
    2. use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
    3. attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on UkrainianPod's web site;
    4. remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
    5. transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.
  2. This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by UkrainianPod at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

3. Disclaimer

  1. The materials on UkrainianPod's web site are provided "as is". UkrainianPod makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. Further, UkrainianPod does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its web site or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.

4. Limitations

In no event shall UkrainianPod or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on UkrainianPod's Internet site, even if UkrainianPod or a UkrainianPod authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

5. Revisions and Errata

The materials appearing on UkrainianPod's web site could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. UkrainianPod does not warrant that any of the materials on its web site are accurate, complete, or current. UkrainianPod may make changes to the materials contained on its web site at any time without notice. UkrainianPod does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.

6. Links

UkrainianPod has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its Internet web site and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by UkrainianPod of the site. Use of any such linked web site is at the user's own risk.

7. Site Terms of Use Modifications

UkrainianPod may revise these terms of use for its web site at any time without notice. By using this web site you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these Terms and Conditions of Use.

Any claim relating to UkrainianPod's web site shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

General Terms and Conditions applicable to Use of a Web Site.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. Accordingly, we have developed this Policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate and disclose and make use of personal information. The following outlines our privacy policy.

1. Information We Collect

We use your account only to save your progress and flashcards and show them on the devices you log in on, to show your comments to other learners under the name you chose, and to email you the codes that confirm your address or let you choose a new password. Only learners logged in to an account can read comments: they see yours with that name and a small tag of your level (the level of the next lesson your progress leads to, such as "A1"; "Moderator" for a moderator), never with your email address or anything else about your progress. A comment you delete disappears from the website, and its text from our records, at once; that you posted one at that time stays (so that an account can post only so many comments a day) until you delete your account. We don't send newsletters or marketing, and we never sell or share your account. The account is stored with Cloudflare (Cloudflare D1), and the codes are sent through Cloudflare's email service. You can delete your account and everything saved with it at any time from your account page.

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a bot, is sending it. To do so, Cloudflare looks at signals from your browser and device, as described in the Turnstile privacy addendum. Turnstile loads only on the contact page.

2. Use of Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (country or city) and what device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets its own cookies for this, and Google processes the data as described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Quebec and Brazil are asked first, and Google Analytics runs for them only if they accept. We do not use advertising cookies. Your lesson settings (such as "Hide English" or the playback speed) are saved in your own browser, as described in our Cookie Policy. Your lesson progress is kept only if you create an account: it is saved to your account, and while you're logged in your browser keeps a copy of it so that pages can show it at once (without an account, your browser lists the lessons you mark done on a visit until you close the tab, so that an account made on that visit can save them). Your flashcards are kept in your own browser, and only there unless you have an account: then they are also saved to it, and logging out removes them from the browser while they stay in your account. When you're logged in, a cookie keeps you logged in.

You can control the use of cookies and site data through your browser settings.

3. How We Use and Store Your Data

We may use trusted third-party services to support our website and communication with you, such as email marketing platforms, payment providers, or content delivery networks. These providers only access your data as necessary and are required to handle it in compliance with their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

If you are located outside the United States, please note that your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers are based. We take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We process your data under the following legal bases: your consent, the performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating our website and improving user experience.

4. Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA

5. Children’s Privacy

This site is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware of such data being collected without parental consent, we will delete it.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we encourage you to review this policy periodically.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
